Egypt

Hi teacher and classmates! Today I will tell you about a country I would like to visit. I always have wanted to visit Egypt, because I want to visit the pyramids. I think these monuments are very important and interesting because these contain part of the history of this country. I don’t know a lot of Egypt, only a few about its history, because my highschool teachers taught me about this. Well, I know that Egypt is in Africa continent, its capital is The Cairo, and this country is famous for its three pyramids: Keops, Kefren and Micerino.

If I travel to Egypt someday of my life, I would like to see the pyramids up close; I would like to have a tourist guide because he would teach about its history, its construction, its architecture, its mystery and secrets. Especially, I would like come in the pyramids, and I would like find secrets passages, treasures and mysteries, like “the mummy” movie, and I would like ride on camel too.

I wouldn’t like to study, work or live there, because I don’t know anything about its cities, its population and their lifestyles, I think only I would like to visit or go to holidays to Egypt, because I imagine its culture is very different of my own culture, and I think it can be very difficult to adapt to living in a new country and a new culture. What do you think?? Bye!!!

Animals and pets

Hi classmates! Today I will tell you about animals and pets, I’m very cheerful because I choose this theme in the voting! I really consider myself like an animal lover!! The animals are amazing in the all senses… their physical appearance, their colours, their behaviour, their natural wisdom, etc. For this reason, now I have three dogs, five fishes and two turtles, the dogs are called Peca, Pelusa and Simon, the turtles, Perry and Larry, and the fishes don’t have names yet. But, these are few pets, because when I was a kid I have twenty rabbits, three turtles, two frogs, ten fishes, two dogs, two ducks and two hamsters, my family and I really are animal lovers.

For this reason, I’m absolutely in disagreement with the use of animals for medical research. I think always the animals are hurt in one way or another for this cause. The scientists don’t consider the suffering of the animals, only because the animals can’t say “I feel pain”.

On the other hand... many animals are violent or wild by nature and the human shouldn’t try to train them. Others animals react with violence when they are scared. For example, I have been bitten by dogs, rabbits and hamsters once in a while; the dogs bite was the most painful, but I love dogs still, because they haven’t blame.

I think if I could be an animal I would choose the lion, because it’s strong, wild, sleepy, beautiful, and it’s the king of the jungle jajaja. What animal would you be? Bye!!!

A depressed country

The article is about that Chile had a poor score in the “Better Life Index 2013”, a comparative scale calculated by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), where Chile appears like one of the least happy member nations.

According to the Universidad de Concepcion’s study, roughly 31,5 percent of Chileans will endure a psychological problem or disorder at some time in their life. In the case of females, they usually suffer emotional disorders like depression or anxiety, and in the case of men, they usually endure drug addiction or alcohol abuse and dependence.

But the stress is very common in all the persons for the routine problems, nevertheless, all the people don’t suffer a real psychological problem, and there are strict criteria for these diagnoses.

There is a way to analyze the effect of these mental problems: “disability adjusted life years (DALYS)”, it is a metric system that calculates the years life lost for the persons for different health problems or disorders.
For other part, the author says that beside employees of different jobs suffer “presenteeism” effect: these are slow productivity for mental health problems.

A good point for our country is the new National Mental Health Program where the mental problems were included in the AUGE plan. But a bad point for Chile are the social inequality, it probably is the reason for the health mental problems of the Chileans.

My favourite movie

Hi everybody, today I’ll tell you about my favourite movie. Firstly, I want to tell you that I love watching movies, because I think the movies are very funnies and these are a good hobby. And I want to clarify that I prefer watching movies at home because this is more comfortable than watching movies at the cinema...I can lay down on my sofa and eat all food that I want.

Well, my favourite movie is “The Notebook”, it is a romantic film, and the stars are Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. The story is about a couple in love: Noah (Ryan) is a pour teenager who meet to Allie (Rachel), a rich adolescent in a funfair. From the moment when they saw them, they fall in love deeply, but they had to distance for the class difference. But the love is stronger than the differences, and they meet again in a passionate scene.

I love this movie, because I liked the ending... it is a great surprise: The story is narrated by an old man, who related it to an old woman with Alzheimer's disease. In the end, we understand that the old persons are Noah and Allie!! Noah narrated the same story to Allie all days, because he remained hopeful that she would remember their love.

I recommend you this movie!!! Bye!!!
